Don’t blame me if you have problems with the install.  I simply have retyped the instructions that Autometer provides, while using photos from my install of the unit.  Trust me, this install is straight forward and simple.  I have no mechanical skills, and to be honest, I am a moron when it comes to cars and had no problem installing this.  Good luck, hope this helps.

. : Tools Required

            Philips Head Screwdriver

            T-15 & T-8 Torx Driver

            Pliers

            7mm Nut Driver

. : Directions

1.                  Remove negative battery cable.

2.                  Remove the original cluster from dash.

A.                 Removing the panel trim.

i.                    Remove the headlight knob by inserting a narrow tool (preferably a flathead screwdriver) into the slot.  Slide the screwdriver along the slot towards the end of the knob and pull the knob away from the dash to release the knob from the shaft. (Figure 1)

ii.                  Remove the two black screws from the top of the instrument panel.  (Figure 2)

iii.                Take a small flathead screwdriver to help pry the panel from the dash.  It should just pop right out.  Then carefully pull the panel from the dash.

B.                 Remove the four black screws from the instrument cluster. (Figure 3)

C.                 Disconnect the two electrical cables from the cluster by pushing in on the connectors tabs (using a flathead screwdriver makes it easier) and remove the entire cluster panel. (Figure 4)

3.                  Place original cluster with the Autometer cluster on a clean surface.

4.                  Remove the six torx screws from the rear cluster cover and then remove the cluster. (Figure 5)

5.                  Remove the digital odometer connector.

6.                  Separate circuit board from gauge assembly by pulling apart. (Figure 7)  Caution:  The circuit board contains sensitive electronic components.  Great care should be taken when handling the circuit board.  Avoid touching components on the circuit board directly and handle the circuit board by its edges.  Static shock could damage the circuit board.  Avoid working in areas that can create excessive static shock such as carpeted rooms.

7.                  Next, remove the eight screws from the front bezel.

8.                  Remove the gauge assembly from the white housing. (Figure 8)

9.                  Remove the two screws from the digital odometer. (Figure 9)

10.              Attach the digital odometer to the Autometer cluster by using the included spacers and head screws. (Figure 10)

11.              Place the new cluster back into the white housing.  (Figure 11)  Make sure to thread the odometer cable through the housing hole and the new lamp connector through the top housing hole before seating assembly completely into housing. (Figure 12)

12.              Attach the new Autometer unit using the existing eight screws from the original bezel.  (Figure 13)

13.              Re-attach the original circuit board by engaging the board into the gauge pins and pressing on the back of the circuit board until it is fully seated to the back of the white housing.

14.              Plug the odometer cable back into the circuit board connector. (Figure 14)

15.              Remove the five white lamps on the backside of the circuit board.  Do not remove the grey light sockets.  Turn the lamps ¼ turn counter-clockwise with a pair of pliers.

16.              Plug the new lamp connector into the empty lamp socket. (Figure 15)  Note:  Lamp connector must have the red wire facing up towards the top of the cluster.

17.              Re-attach the back cover using five of the six torx screws that were removed in step 4.  The original screw from the lower centered hole will not be used. (Figure 16)
